U.S. and European stock prices surged on Tuesday following upbeat news over U.S. corporate results and expectations of China’s measures to stimulate its economy.

At the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped zero-point-56 percent on Tuesday from Monday to close at 12-thousand-462.

London’s FTSE 100 index climbed one-and-a-half percent to close at five-thousand-696.

Germany’s DAX 30 index jumped two-point-four percent to close at six-thousand-162 while in Paris, the CAC 40 index surged nearly two-point-seven percent to three-thousand-210.
