A district court of Mannheim, Germany is expected to rule on Friday over Samsung Electronics’ lawsuit against Apple regarding communication patent violations.

The ruling is set to come as Apple filed two additional lawsuits on Tuesday against Samsung calling for a sales ban on ten of its smartphones and five tablet PCs in Germany.

The German court will rule on one of three charges Samsung has lodged against the U.S. firm last April. A ruling on the remaining two charges will come on January 27th and March second.

The upcoming ruling is the first to be issued on lawsuits between Samsung and Apple filed in a dozen countries.
