US: No Policy Change Toward N. Korea

The United States has reiterated it has not changed its policy on North Korea following the death of Kim Jong-il.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters Tuesday he doesn’t anticipate U.S. President Barack Obama will have a policy change toward the North this year.

Carney said he "can’t predict the future" in terms of what might happen on the Korean Peninsula and within the communist state, but there has been no policy change.
