The Korean girl group “Girls’ Generation” has been appearing on popular talk shows in the U.S. following the release of their album there two weeks ago.

The K-pop sensation performed the title song off its U.S. debut album, “The Boys,” on ABC talk show “Live! With Kelly.” The program has roughly four-point-five million U.S. viewers.

Girls’ Generation also took to the stage on the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS, which is one of the most popular talk shows in the country.

The K-pop group is the first Korean musical act to appear on a U.S. talk show.

Crowds of fans gathered outside the broadcast studios when the shows were being filmed, a testament to the rising popularity of K-pop in the U.S.

The Wall Street Journal said Girls’ Generation’s latest TV appearances in the U.S. "mark a new level of mainstream American exposure for the group and Korean pop music in general."
