US Federal Gov't Takes Action over Anti-Korean Sentiment

The U.S. federal government has reportedly intervened in conflicts between Korean Americans and African Americans in Dallas in the U.S. state of Texas.

The Federation of Korean Associations, USA said Thursday that a Justice Department official dealing with racial conflicts will soon meet with officials of the federation to discuss ways to resolve the escalating anti-Korean sentiment among African Americans in Dallas.

The federation said the Justice Department took action on the matter as the federation reported it to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Meanwhile, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) said in a recent meeting with officials of the Korean American Association of Dallas that it will not approve the use of violence or attempts to escalate conflicts between individuals in racial conflicts.
