Anti-Korean sentiment has been on the rise within Dallas, U.S., with African American community there boycotting Korean-owned businesses.

The Federation of Korean Associations and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People as well as the State Department are now involved in the case to alleviate the discontent of the African-American community. The conflict began with an argument over a gas station's high oil price. The Korean-American gas station owner and his African-American customer exchanged racist remarks.

Efforts are currently underway to prevent a boycott of Korean goods by African-Americans.

The owner with the surname Park appeared on a radio show and apologized to the black community as well as to the other colored communities, acknowledging that it had been a grave mistake.
