China and Russia’s chief delegates to the six-way nuclear talks have met in Beijing and discussed ways to resume the stalled dialogue.

Igor Morgulov and Wu Dawei met in Beijing on Monday and shared views on the current situation in Northeast Asia and ways to reopen the nuclear negotiations.

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi earlier said that member countries of the six-party talks must exert their best efforts to resume the stalled dialogue.

Russia has also emphasized that ways to establish a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula must be discussed within the framework of the six-nation nuclear talks.
