This Year’s Super Bowl Attracts Record Number of Viewers

The annual National Football League championship game the “Super Bowl” has again set a record as the most-watched television program in U.S. history.

U.S. advertising research company “The Nielsen Co.” said Monday that an estimated 111-point-three million people watched the Super Bowl on Sunday, local time.

Nielsen projected that 300-thousand more people tuned into to this year's championship than last years.

The football game has drawn a record number of viewers for three consecutive years.

The number of viewers reached 117-point-seven million during the last half hour of the game, and one-hundred-eleven-point-four million people were watching the halftime show featuring Madonna.
