Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has reaffirmed the Chinese government’s will to actively help Europe deal with its debt problems.

Wen told reporters that China's willingness to support the EU in dealing with its debt problems is sincere and resolute. He added China is ready to play a bigger role in tackling the financial crisis.

The Chinese premier's remarks were made during a joint news conference in Beijing with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso.

Wen also said that China would consider getting more involved in resolving Europe's debt woes through the European Stability Mechanism and the European Financial Stability Facility.
