Seoul is World's 27th Most Expensive City

A British economic analysis firm says Seoul ranks 27th among the world's costliest cities.

The Economist Intelligence Unit released its Worldwide Cost of Living 2012 report on Wednesday and moved Seoul up nine spots from last year.

Switzerland's Zurich sits atop the list as the city with the highest cost of living, followed closely by Tokyo.

On the opposite end of the scale, Muscat of Oman was listed as the world’s cheapest city.

The EIU’s cost of living report is based on the prices of 160 products and services, such as food, clothing and rent.
