Final Decision on Greek Bailout Expected Next Monday

Finance ministers of euro zone countries are expected to reach a decision next week on providing Greece with an additional bailout.

Euro Group President Jean-Claude Juncker said it’s too early to decide on a second bailout for the debt-ridden country, but the finance ministers are expected to reach an agreement at a regular meeting in Brussels next Monday.

Juncker said it is necessary to further review detailed measures to strengthen the supervision of Greece in implementing a rescue program and to guarantee its repayment of debts.

He confirmed that Greece’s two major political parties promised to back an austerity program and economic reform while presenting ways to implement an additional 325-million-euro belt-tightening plan.
