The Web sites of major Brazilian airlines have been hacked ahead of the opening of the Rio Carnival 2012.

Brazilian media report that the Web sites of the country’s top two air carriers Gol and Tam were attacked by a group of computer hackers called “Anonymous Brazil.”

The attack shut down the Web sites and disrupted tickets sales for several hours.

Earlier this month, the Web sites of major commercial banks and the central bank of Brazil became the victims of cyber attacks as well.
