Putin’s Supporters, Opponents Hold Rallies in Moscow

Supporters and opponents of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin held rallies across the nation following Putin’s announcement to run for president next month.

Massive processions of cars took to the streets of Moscow over the weekend in an outpouring of support for Putin.

Thousands of people drove downtown on Saturday night and paraded on a beltway that runs around the Russian capital.

Anti-Putin demonstrators also held a car rally on Sunday afternoon to call for a fair presidential election and protest allegations Putin committed election fraud in December last year.
