A new study shows that U.S. citizens consider Iran their nation's greatest threat.

A Gallup survey of roughly one-thousand Americans reports that 32 percent of respondents say Iran is the number one enemy of the U.S. China was second on the list, followed by North Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq.

The percentage of respondents who named North Korea as enemy number one dropped from 16 percent in 2011 to ten percent this year.

The percentage of respondents who pointed the finger at China went up from 16 percent to 23 percent year-on-year.

The survey was conducted from February second through the fifth and released Monday.
