Five Ethnic Koreans Dead in Shooting at Spa in Atlanta

Five ethnic Koreans have been killed in a shooting at a spa in an Atlanta suburb in the U.S. state of Georgia.

Local police of Norcross city on Tuesday said that the preliminary evidence suggests that the crime is a murder-suicide. The shooting occurred at around 8:45 p.m. at Sujung Beauty Health and Sauna, which is owned by an ethnic Korean man identified by his surname Kang.

The shooter, who was Kang’s brother-in-law, reportedly argued over money with Kang and fired a gun blindly, killing Kang, Kang’s wife and two relatives. The shooter is known to have shot himself at the scene, but then was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.

The police collected a gun that appeared to have been used for the crime and are working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation on the case.
