At Least 49 Dead in Buenos Aires Train Crash

At least 49 people are dead and more than 600 injured after a commuter train slammed into a train station in the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires.

Foreign media say a commuter train carrying roughly one-thousand passengers came in too fast and hit the end barrier at Buenos Aires busy Once station around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, local time.

A civil defense official said at least 30 people among the injured are in critical condition. The official said the number of victims could rise as search efforts continue at the accident site.
