Local police in an Atlanta, Georgia suburb say a shooting at a spa this week that left five ethic Koreans dead was committed by a lone gunman.

Norcross City police say the shooter, identified only by his surname Baek, entered Sujung Beauty Health and Sauna around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, local time, and shot his brother-in-law, Kang, who owned the spa.

Baek then shot his elder and younger sisters and his other brother-in-law who was also in the building. He then turned the gun on himself at the scene and was later pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.

Police secured testimony from spa employees that on the day of the shooting Baek had quarreled with family members during a family gathering.

Meanwhile, the Korean community in Atlanta convened an emergency meeting to discuss the incident and exchanged opinions over funeral procedures. The community also vowed to fully cooperate with the investigation.
