U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro says all options are on the table when it comes to halting Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Shapiro said Thursday, local time, at an international meeting attended by Israeli President Shimon Peres that the U.S. and Israel are coordinating to resolve the nuclear issue. He added the government has planned to ensure other available options if the economic sanctions in place don't achieve that goal.

The U.S. ambassador said the economic sanctions against Iran are having a significant effect but more pressure needs to be applied to see Iran abandon its nuclear program.
