KOTRA to Help Small Firms Advance into US Market

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) has decided to provide domestic small- and medium-sized firms with active support for them to advance into the U.S. market. This measure is being taken as a free trade agreement with the U.S. is set to take effect starting Thursday.

The agency’s headquarters in North America said on Wednesday that it will implement a customized export support program for 100 firms annually over the next three years in order to help small domestic businesses emerge as exporters to the U.S. market in a short period of time.

Accordingly, the agency plans to select and support promising and qualified small firms after the FTA with the U.S. takes effect.
