Canadian Minister to Talk to Koreans in Vancouver about NK Escapees

The Canadian government plans to send a minister to hold a meeting with Korean Canadians in Vancouver to listen to their views on the forced repatriation of North Korean escapees.

The Korean Society of Vancouver said on Thursday that Canada’s Immigration Minister Jason Kenney will visit Vancouver on March 24th to meet with members of the Korean Society of B.C. Fraternity and Culture to collect their views on the issue.

The move comes after members of the Korean organization held a rally against China's forced repatriation of North Korean escapes on Tuesday in front of the China’s Consulate General in Vancouver, calling on Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper to take action against China’s actions.
