Russia to Have Destroyed over 60% of Chemical Weapons

Russia has reportedly discarded more than 60 percent of its chemical weapons.

Chairman of the State Commission on Chemical Demilitarization Mikhail Babich said that Russia has destroyed more than 24,000 metric tonnes of its chemical weapons stockpile. He made the announcement to a delegation from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons visiting Moscow.

He said that under the supervision of the international community, Russia is committed to completing its task of disposing chemical weapons.
