The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is scheduled to hold a summit on Tuesday in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Leaders from the ten ASEAN nations, including Singapore and Vietnam, will discuss pending issues as part of preparations to create a single regional community by 2015.

At the two-day summit, they are also expected to discuss North Korea’s planned rocket launch and a territorial dispute in the South China Sea.

The association's secretary-general Surin Pitsuwan told the Associated Press on Monday that some ASEAN leaders would be expressing concern about North Korea’s upcoming rocket launch.
