'2 Korean Americans Killed in Oakland Shooting'

Two ethnic Koreans are believed to be among the victims of a shooting rampage at Oikos University in Oakland, California on Monday.

A local official investigating the case who asked to be unnamed said of the seven dead in the shooting, two have been confirmed to be Koreans with U.S. citizenship.

The official added he can't officially confirm their deaths as it takes time for authorities to issue the final confirmation.

Oakland police say the dead include six women and one man. One was a teacher and the rest were students. Police did not formally identify the victims but said they came from South Korea, Nigeria, Nepal and the Philippines.

An ethnic Korean man with U.S. citizenship is the main suspect.
