Cambodia’s Ministry of Health said the number of people stricken with the disease nearly tripled year-on-year to one-thousand-223 in the first quarter of this year.

The ministry said six people have died from the illness, up two from the same period last year.

Last year in Cambodia, 15-thousand-980 were infected with dengue fever and 73 died from the tropical disease.
