Guns sales in the U.S. state of Colorado have jumped in the wake of a shooting rampage at a local theater.

Colorado authorities say following the shooting on July 20th, firearms dealers filed two-thousand-887 applications for gun sales in just three days.

The figure is up 43 percent from two-thousand-12 last week and 39 percent from two-thousand-79 during the first week of the month.
