Koreans in Britain Pray for S. Korea's Victory against Japan

Koreans in Britain are praying for South Korea's victory over Japan in an Olympic bronze medal bout this weekend following the team's 3-0 loss to Brazil in the semifinals.

About 300 Koreans living or studying in Britain gathered on Tuesday at New Malden in London, beating drums and gongs to cheer for the South Korean team during its match against Brazil. The Koreans stayed and actively cheered for the team until the end of the game.

The supporters said despite the team's failure to meet the gold medal match, it was a great achievement to beat Great Britain in the quarterfinals. They said they hope South Korea beats Japan for the bronze.
