Saudi Arabia has warned Iran that it will intercept Israeli fighter jets if they fly through its airspace to attack Iran.

The Hebrew daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the message was delivered to Israel via U.S. officials who recently visited Jerusalem.

A high-ranking Israeli official said Washington is leveraging the Saudi Arabian threat so Israel doesn’t carry out a unilateral military operation against Iran.
