North Korea Airs London Olympics Downtown Pyongyang

China’s state-run CCTV reports that North Korea allowed its citizens to watch major events of the 2012 London Olympic Games on a large signboard in Pyongyang every night of the games.

The Chinese broadcaster aired some video clips of hundreds of the North Korean capital's residents watching Olympic matches on the super-sized electronic display in front of Pyongyang Station.

CCTV also said that North Korea’s official Korean Central TV broadcast highlights of the London Olympic Games and North Korean athlete's matches.

North Korea won four gold medals and two bronze medals in weight lifting, judo and wrestling, its greatest feat since the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
