Death Toll Soars as Fighting Intensifies in Syria

The civil war in Syria is growing worse as at least 300 people have been killed in the capital Damascus and throughout the country over the past two days.

Syrian insurgents said that tanks controlled by the state military attacked areas in and out of the capital on Thursday, killing 25 people and injuring over 200.

The opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least 100 people, including 59 civilians, were killed in a single day from the violence.

Roughly 200 people were reportedly killed on Wednesday alone.
