China: Uyghur Activists Plan a Massive Terrorist Attack

A Chinese newspaper reports that Uyghur independence activists have been found to have planned a massive terrorist attack.

Chinese security authorities found 20 homemade bombs, explosive materials and weapons manuals at a house in a prefecture in the Xinjiang-Uyghur Autonomous Region.

Chinese security officials also secured a statement from arrested Uyghur independent activists about their plan to carry out a large-scale terrorist attack in a public area. They caught eleven more Uyghur independent activists who had fled during a clash between the two sides in the Xinjiang-Uyghur region on April 23rd.

The clash between Chinese security officials and Uyghur independent activists killed 15 people. Eight Uyghur activists were caught on the scene.
