The Voice of America (VOA) says North Korea wants to resume the joint recovery of remains of U.S. soldiers who died in the Korean War. 

VOA reported that North Korean military officers told a VOA reporter they want to restart excavations with the U.S. Defense Department. But the North did not make an official proposal for talks to the U.S.

VOA said that the North also said it wants to actively support a retired American veteran who is visiting the North to find remains of a fellow Korean War veteran killed in the war.
