Singer Hwayobi underwent surgery for a cyst on her vocal chords.

Her surgery lasted for about 1 hour on the 13th and she came through with no complications.

A representative from the singer’s agency reported that the surgery was successful and she is currently resting in a hospital in Seoul.

Hwayobi had planned to release a new album in the beginning of the year but had to postpone the release date due to her health problems. She plans to resume work after she has fully recovered from surgery.
