Singer Hyun Jin-young will now turn to the education field as he becomes the dean of music academy 'Raum' in Gangnam next month. He was recently offered the position.

An official at his management agency said, “Hyun was offered professor positions at academies and provincial universities severals times in the past but he had little time, busy help producing albums of junior singers. But he decided to take on the latest offer. He wanted to start from the basics if he were to help aspiring talents in the proper way."

Many educational institutes reached out to Hyun, as he has a 20-years singing career under his belt.

The official said, “The academy Raum is not only about raising star talent. It's a professional music school teaching hip hop, jazz and various music genres in a systematic curriculum. Hyun is currently organizing the instructors' lineup and curriculum for each class. He's very much excited that he's taking part in fostering music loving students."
