Local soccer player Jang Hak-Young (26) and up and coming actress Kim Ji-Yeon (24) will tie the knot at the end of the year.

Jang announced that he and Kim will hold their wedding at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in southern Seoul on December 8th.
The couple was introduced by a mutual friend last year and formally announced their engagement to their families and set a date last month.

Jang and Kim publicly expressed their love for each other on their mini-homepages, announcing their upcoming nuptials through a wedding photo.

Jang, who plays left wing back in Korea’s Professional Football League, became a star player when he represented the country in a goodwill match with the UAE in January last year. Kim Ji-Yeon is an up and coming actress who made her debut in last year’s popular KBS drama “Mister Goodbye,” starring Ahn Jae-Wook.

Coincidentally, the couple’s wedding falls on the same date as the wedding of another soccer star’s. Kim Nam-Il will wed KBS announcer Kim Bo-Min on December 8th, too.
