Miss Korea Becomes PR Envoy of Joonggu
This year's Miss Korea pageant winner Lee Ji-seon will sponsor low income family children living in Seoul's Joonggu district.

Officials on Friday appointed her as the PR envoy of their district's 'Happiness project' and Lee pledged to support 50,000 won per month for a year to 26 destitute families for a total 15.6 million won.

A student at the Parsons School of Design in New York, she donated the entire 20 million won prize money she won from the pageant in July to the organizing committee to help needy neighbors.

The committee then told her about the Joonggu project and Lee decided to help poor children in the district.

A Joonggu official says "Lee will also promote the project through other activities."
