Tablo, from the hip-hop trio Epik High, will attend the 12th Busan International Film Festival next month not as a singer, but as a movie actor.
Tablo’s debut movie “Fantastic Jasalsodong/Fantastic Parasuicides” received a special invitation to be at the festival in the Wide Angle Category. The Wide Angle section includes a selection of animation, experimental, documentary, short films that go beyond the world of feature films.
“Fantastic Parasuicides” is an omnibus made of 3 TV movies (“3 People of Darkness,” “Fly Away, Chicken,” and “Happy Birthday”) made into a short film.
Tablo plays a student who plans on blowing up his school in the name of world peace in the Park Soo Young-directed “3 People of Darkness.”
Kim Nam-Jin stars in the Jo Chang Ho-directed “Fly Away, Chicken” and Jeong Jae Jin and new-comer Kang In Hyeong star in the Kim Seong Ho-directed “Happy Birthday.”
“Fantastic Parasuicides” will screen at the Busan Film Festival on October 7th and 9th and will then be released to the public in early November at Art Plus Theaters.
