Gregory Bae and Chung Yoo-jin have performed pansori, or traditional Korean opera, since 1970, and recently held a recital at the National Academy of Korean Music on July 15.

Singer Chung returned to South Korea in 1999 after living and performing for 32 years abroad. She is a professor at her alma mater Seoul National University.

Bae, who plays the traditional drum "buk," began learning Korean traditional percussion from 1968 as a Peace Corps volunteer. He holds a doctorate in civil engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
