Rain Studies Acting
Singer/actor Rain, who was named one of People magazine’s most beautiful people 2007, has recently decided to transfer to Dankook University Graduate School to study acting.

Rain graduated from Kyung Hee University’s Post Modern Music Department in February of last year and entered Kyung Hee University Graduate School of Art Fusion Design. He completed two semesters in Performance Arts, but transferred to Dankook University’s Graduate School of Drama and Arts Affairs.
An official from Rain’s agency JYP Entertainment said that the singer, who majored in music in university, did not get the chance to systematically study acting. Though the star has already found success in television (Full House, A Time To Kill) and more recently film (I’m A Cyborg, But That’s Ok), he decided to change schools in order to receive formal training and develop his acting skills.
Rain chose Dankook University Graduate School after he learned that the producer and director of the musical “Empress Myung-sung”, Yoon Ho-jin, was the head of the Department of Musicals, Theater and Film at Dankook University’s Graduate School of Drama and Arts Affairs.
Rain is very satisfied with his selection because he can study acting and music together.
However, the singer/actor has not submitted his withdrawal from Kyung Hee University grad school but simply did not register this year. Rain took a leave of absence from school in the first half of the year due to his world tour.
The star will leave for Spain on the 5th to watch the Valencia Louis Vuitton Act 13, the final opening act of the 32nd America's Cup. On the 25th, he will become the first Korean singer to perform at Japan’s Tokyo Dome. A reported 18,000 pre-sale tickets have already been bought by fans from his Japanese fan club as well as other Asian nations including China, Hong Kong and Thailand. Tickets formally go on sale on the 13th and concert promoters estimate 40,000 fans will come to see the superstar perform.
After the Tokyo Dome concert, Rain will then move on to North America to perform in 7 cities, including New York, LA and Toronto.
