"Punch" Is A Knock-Out At The Box Office
"Punch" (Korean title "Wandeuki") has proven to be quite the hit, recently surpassing the 2 million ticket milestone at the box office as the number one movie in the nation.

Starring Kim Yoon-suk and Yoo Ah-in, the film is based on a novel about a poor and rebellioius young boy. Wangdeuki has quite an eccentric teacher named Dong-joo who seems to give the young student a lot of trouble. In the end, while going through family issues and discovering a new love for kick boxing, Wandeuki realizes that Dong-joo is more like a friend, family even. The movie targets many social issues through a warm plotline like physical disabilities, poverty, and multiculturalism.

CJ Entertainment reported reported on November 5th that "Punch" soled 2,065,829 tickets, with 640,000 of those having been sold in the opening week.
