Vacation Fashion Tips
The vacation season is in full swing and it’s time to plan your wardrobe accordingly. Today I’m going to introduce chic vacation outfit ideas so you can look and feel cool during your summer holiday.

Sometimes figuring out what to wear while on vacation can be a challenge but with a few styling tips in mind, anyone can create a chic vacation wardrobe. First and foremost, think comfort. Let’s face it: there’s nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable while on vacation. When traveling, opt for fabrics like cotton and blends (like linen, lycra, and spandex) which are low-maintenance and easy to care for. Be sure to pack cotton t-shirts and a few extra tank tops, which are the perfect complement to shorts, jeans, capris, maxi skirts, and more. To create an easy, effortless daytime ensemble, opt for something as simple as a white tank top and denim shorts combo paired with a floppy hat and a pair of jeweled sandals.

Next, shorts are a definite essential to any vacation getaway. For men, opt for a chic pair of bermuda shorts or chino shorts, which are nice enough to wear to a dinner yet comfortable and casual enough for sightseeing during the day. As for the top, ditch your everyday monochrome shirts and opt for vivid, colorful t-shirts like electric blue, bright turquoise, zesty orange and more to create a playful look. Top off the look with a panama hat and a pair of gladiator sandals—and you have a chic getaway look!

For women, breezy dresses are a must-have when it comes to building a low-effort, high-style vacation wardrobe. A great dress—whether it’s a maxi or a mini—will work nearly everywhere. For a lazy stroll along the beach, choose a vintage-inspired boho chic maxi dress paired with a wide-brimmed straw hat and a pair of ankle strap sandals. To dress up your look for an evening party by the pool, opt for a chic black halter dress paired with statement bangles. Complete the look with a pair of dressy sandals and a black floppy hat and you’ll be sure to turn heads.

Last but not least, cover-ups are a staple for every trip to the beach. This season, cover-ups come in a variety of designs—everything from strapless to bell-sleeved and halter tops. When you want to partially cover your bod and suit (i.e. when walking to and from the car, grabbing lunch or drinks, or when visiting the restroom), throw on a cute cover-up so you can still manage to pull off a chic look without revealing too much. Everything from a tunic shirt dress, a large t-shirt, to wraps, towel shorts, and a tube-top maxi can all do the trick. Don’t forget to accessorize the look with a beautiful coral necklace and a straw bangle bracelet and flaunt your fashion sense!

Play with these tips and pull off a chic vacation look!
