Today I’m going to introduce the top five wearable fashion trends for Winter 2017.

* Trend #1: Quilted Puffer Coats
The new must-have outerwear is the puffer coat. Once considered a fashion don’t
because of their tendency to make the wearer look like the Michelin Man, warm and cozy puffers are finally deemed cool and are officially the “it” outerwear option to have this season. Among the wide variety of designs, quilted puffers in flashy hues—everything from fiery reds, zesty oranges to electric blues and canary yellow—were a hot look on the Winter 2017 runways. One styling tip when it comes to wearing puffers is to team up the puffy coat with formal staples such as a pair of tapered black slacks. To revamp your otherwise boring office look, substitute your everyday black coat for a colorful quilted puffer jacket. Pair with a black turtleneck and black slacks combo and instantly create a whole new look.

* Trend #2: Super Long Coats
Continuing from the last season, maxi is the new length for coats. The Winter 2017 runways featured plenty of maxi length coats in a wide array of materials and textures. While coats in luxurious fabrics such as wool or cashmere are forever here to stay,
super long coats in velvet, leather, and suede are also extremely popular this season. Switch out your everyday peacoat for an extra long coat that comes down to mid-calf or to the ankles. Team up with simple trousers, a loose sweater, and a pair of sneakers for an effortless yet chic look.

* Trend #3: Midi Hems
When it comes to skirts, designers are going for the modest yet sexy below-the-knees midi hems. These hemlines elongate the figure, making the wearer look leaner and taller. Ditch your minis this winter and opt for midi-length dresses and skirts and
update your everyday look!

* Trend #4: Pleats
Another top trend for Winter 2017 is the look of pleats. While we saw the trend more during the spring/summer seasonal presentations, there were still plenty of pleats on the Winter 2017 catwalks, proving their dominance in the fashion world at the
moment. To update your look, pick up a midi or maxi pleated skirt and team up with winter staples—everything from tight-fitting turtlenecks, loose knit sweaters to
bombers and maxi coats.

* Trend #5: Colorful Faux Fur
Another easy way to look amazing this winter is to rock a faux fur coat. Furry
statement coats come in wild colors, patterns, and textures aplenty this winter, making them more accessible and wearable. In particular, super bright and color-blocked faux fur toppers are extra stylish this winter. Instead of throwing on your everyday
sweatshirt, slip into a big, dramatic faux fur coat in fun color combinations such as pinks and blues, reds and purples, yellows and turquoise and so much more and create a head-turning look in seconds!
