Lee Jong-beom, the creator of webtoon series "Dr. Frost," is the first manhwa artist in the history of Korean webtoons to put a psychologist in the leading role. He debuted in 2009 with a webtoon about financial investment titled “The Queen of Investment.” His 2011 webcomic series “Dr. Frost” starring a brilliant psychologist compelled his readers to check their own psychological state.

Lee has proven with “Dr. Frost” that a manhwa series about psychology can be absorbing. Through the words of Dr. Frost Lee asks his readers to find their true selves. He tells them that avoiding the subject, covering up the pain, and convincing themselves that everything’s okay are not overcoming the problems.
