Zia Shin, leading the next generation of Korean classical musicians

2016-02-23

Violinist Zia Shin started playing the violin at age 4 and won just about every competition she entered. She was a violin prodigy, who advanced straight to the Korea National University of Arts when she was just a high school freshman. In order to bring the public closer to classical music, she is involved in various activities – hosting a music show on radio and playing jazz and movie scores. Some people think that she has distanced herself from classical music, but she invests even more time and effort into interpreting music. She wants to show ordinary people that classical music is not difficult and is actually about human feelings.
