The chartered flight that was set to bring home some 300 South Koreans who were arrested in a recent immigration raid in the U.S. state of Georgia has been delayed.

The foreign ministry announced on Wednesday that the detainees’ home-bound flight, which had been scheduled for Wednesday, has been delayed due to issues on the U. S. side.

The ministry said it is working with the U.S. to expedite the chartered plane's departure from Atlanta.

Earlier in the day, a Korean Air plane with 368 seats took off from Incheon International Airport at 10 a.m. for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to bring home some 300 South Koreans who were arrested and detained by U.S. immigration authorities during a raid on a Hyundai plant site in Georgia.

The plane was initially scheduled to depart from Atlanta at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, local time.
