4 Korean Americans Hold Posts Under Obama

Four Korean Americans are serving in the White House following the inauguration of U.S. President Barack Obama.

Christopher Kang Jin-young is special assistant to the president for legislative affairs and Eugene Kang (no relation) is special assistant to the president.

Betsy Kim, who was deputy director of Obama’s Asian-American and Pacific Islander voter outreach effort in his campaign, will work for the State Department while Anna Kim (no relation) will be White House liaison officer to the Defense Department.
