Thailand has asked North Korea to set up measures to stop its defectors from flowing into the Southeast Asian nation.

Thailand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Kasit Piromya met with North Korean ambassador to Thailand Oh Young-sun on Friday, requesting that North Korea cooperate with China to set up the preventive measures.

After the meeting, Kasit told reporters that his government does not want North Korean defectors to use the nation as a way of defecting to a third country.
