Radio Free Asia reports that North Korean government officials are planning to visit the United States at the end of this month by invitation of private organizations.

The Washington-based broadcaster says four North Korean officials who are assigned to a private exchange association between the two countries will visit several cities in the U.S. by invitation of five nongovernmental organizations: Mercy Corps, World Vision, Global Resource Service, Christian Friends of Korea and Samaritan’s Purse.

The report added that during the visit, the North Korean officials will look into whether the U.S. is faithfully carrying out its promised provision of food aid and discuss how to extend the provisions after the aid agreement expires in June.
