Clinton: US Remains Committed to NK's Denuclearization

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is stressing the U.S. remains "absolutely committed to the denuclearization of North Korea."

In an interview with ABC news in Tokyo Tuesday, Clinton denied that the Obama camp is taking a softer stance than the Bush administration on North Korea.

Clinton said Pyongyang entered into an agreement to denuclearize, and if it proceeds as it has already agreed, and verifiably and completely eliminates its nuclear programs, there will be benefits.

She said she wants the people of North Korea, as well as those within the government, to understand that the U.S. holds no antagonism against the people of the North.

In a separate interview with another U.S. broadcaster, MSNBC, Clinton said the possible missile launch that North Korea is talking about would be "very unhelpful."
