US Seeks to Resume Nuke Talks after UN Resolution

The United States will seek to resume the six-party nuclear talks after the U.N. Security Council (UNSC) adopts a resolution on North Korea’s rocket launch.

Government sources said South Korea and Japan are cooperating with the United States and that the three countries are actively attempting to enlist the support of China and Russia, which have voiced opposition to a UNSC resolution.

Meanwhile, a diplomatic source said that if the Security Council adopts the resolution, the six-party talks could resume as early as next month.
