Japan says North Korea has made progress in its rocket technology.

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Takeo Kawamura told a news conference on Wednesday that according to the footage released by the North on Wednesday, the rocket launched on Sunday seemed more advanced than ones previously fired by Pyongyang.

Kawamura said it remains unclear whether the rocket had two or three stages but added that Tokyo's defense ministry is carrying out close imagery analysis to determine more details about the rocket.
